NOPSEMA (the National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority) is the regulator for Australia’s offshore energy industry, overseeing the protection of Commonwealth waters. We currently have a number of rare opportunities to join our team and help ensure the safe and environmentally responsible development and safe operation of offshore oil and gas, greenhouse gas storage and offshore renewable energy activities in Australian waters.
About the roles
Exciting opportunities exist for experienced petroleum industry professionals qualified in an offshore oil and gas industry discipline to join our Safety and Integrity Division in our Perth and Melbourne Offices.
Reporting to the Manager of Well Integrity the roles of Well Integrity Engineer will be responsible for providing technical assistance in the assessment of well operation management plans and inspection of offshore operations and will support the team in investigating accidents and incidents. The positions will assist in the development and maintenance of procedures, guidelines and standards relating to the regulation and management of risk from wells and well activities.
We are looking for Well Integrity Engineers with:
- Demonstrated experience in a well engineering environment encompassing planning, design, construction, operation and management of wells and well control.
- Knowledge of drilling, completions & well interventions and / or petroleum engineering, production technology and sub-surface disciplines.
- Proven ability to identify, analyse and diagnose problems in a logical and rational manner, and to demonstrate a creative approach to problem solving.
- Experience with API and coding is desirable.
