An exciting opportunity exists for an individual with suitable experience and knowledge to undertake the role of Senior Adviser – Executive Accountability and Oversight within our Safety and Integrity Division at our Perth Office. This position may be filled on an ongoing (permanent) or non-ongoing (fixed-term) basis for an initial period of up to 18 months, with possible extension dependent upon NOPSEMA’s business requirements.
Reporting to the Head of Division of Safety and Integrity, you will provide support to NOPSEMA initiatives to further develop existing knowledge in relation to executive accountability and oversight across the offshore energy industry and other industries where executive accountability and oversight is of key importance and can provide insights to the offshore energy industry. You will specifically be responsible for developing and supporting the promotion of executive oversight and accountability in relation to health and safety, well integrity, environmental and decommissioning performance across the offshore energy industry.
You will support internal stakeholders by developing and implementing systems and tools to evaluate the level of executive accountability and oversight across the offshore energy industry and educate executive stakeholders on good practice. You will also manage the delivery of coaching and training to NOPSEMA staff on behavioural science, human factors, organisational behaviour (including safety culture) and psychological risks in the context of our regulatory regime.
The role requires a candidate that possesses extensive experience in working with senior executives in the offshore energy industry and identifying, analysing and diagnosing complex issues and problems relating to organisational behaviour, human factors and/or psychosocial risk management in a strategic, logical and rational manner, including the ability to identify and propose solutions.
The successful candidate will be a strong team player, with the flexibility to shift tasks and manage priorities to deliver on operational needs and possess or have the ability to acquire an understanding of the offshore regulatory regime.
