Plant (Safety) Facility Engineer

The following conditions are emphasized by the client to fulfill the requirements if you don't have it please don't apply.:

  • Must be a Mechanical Engineer, major work  experiences shall be Project Oriented. Plant (Safety) Facility Project Engineer at Client Side ( not as Contractor) , i.e. , Oil & Gas Field Downstream, Plant Safety & Environmental Facility Projects, FEED Study , Preparation of Tender Document (Scope of Work), Bid Evaluation, and Execution of EPC Project & Managing Contractor.
  • Must have Fire Detection & Fighting System, Waste/ Produced Water Treatment & Disposal System, Sewage & Drainage System experience
  • Preparing complete  project scope of work for tendering  is mandatory experience,  simple participation, or  review & comment is not acceptable.
  • Stable Employment Record: min. 5 years continuous employment.
  • Age: Not more than 55 years.

Main function of the job: -

The applicant will be responsible in Oil & Gas Production Plant Safety & Environmental Facility Projects: FEED study and project management, e.g., preliminary study, basic engineering, preparing scope of work  & tender document, bidder evaluation, project execution and coordination.

Duties & responsibilities: 

  1. Min. 12+ years combined experiences in an oil & gas industry with a focus on engineering design, project management & execution as a project engineer for oil & gas production plant safety & environmental facilities, e.g., firefight ing, fire detection, monitoring & protection, and hazardous & waste material handling/treatment.
  2. Candidate should have thorough knowledge for rotating & static machinery, e.g., fire detection, fire pump,  fire main & fighting system, foam system, waste/produced water treatment & disposal, swage & drainage, piping, storage tank, etc.
  3. Project initiation and preparation of scope of work & tendering package, bid evaluation and contractor management.
  4. To review, approve and amend EPC contractor's designs and proposals.
  5. Applicant should be capable to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and should be a self-stated with the ability to direct others and require minimal supervision.
  6. Applicant should possess a wide knowledge of relevant international codes and standards applied in oil & gas industry and should be fluent in spoken and written English with reporting skill.
  7. Applicant must  have  excellent  understanding  and  organizational  skills  to  coordinate projects and technical staff in the preparation of all safety & environmental requirements for Design Basis, FEED studies,  bidding documents and tender  evaluations .
  8. The candidate will be required to manage technical input and deliverables on a project ensuring that:
    1. Company procedures are adhered to for the project.
    2. Technical and operational requirements for the project are achieved.
    3. Project I contract objectives are achieved, and the quality of work is maintained.
  9. Candidate must have a positive attitude to team work and should have experience working abroad with frequent site visits to monitor projects he is involved with, desert experience preferable.
  10. Candidate should show proven stable employment records.

Qualification:

 

- Education: B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of mechanical engineering experience in engineering and construction of major firefighting system projects in Oil / Gas industry.
- Thorough knowledge of firefighting system engineering and equipment.
- Must be fully familiar with plant safety requirements and engineering standards NFPA, API, ASME, NACE, BS, DIN and ASTM.  
- Good English written and verbal communication skills. 
- Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent project management and technical analysis skills. 
- Computer skills MS office.
