Petrofac is currently looking to recruit a Instrument and Control Engineer to join our Bridge View Office.

Forming part of the Asset Delivery Team the key function is managing and supporting the maintenance of the offshore Control & Instrument Systems in support of the asset production delivery targets in conjunction as necessary with the maintenance system team lead of the technical team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Owning, directing and co-ordinating the execution of planned and corrective maintenance of control & instrumentation equipment and associated Systems in conjunction with operations personnel.

  • Implementing, integrating and reviewing planned maintenance programmes in order to meet the statutory and vendor requirements and ensuring all work is accurately recorded.

  • Responsibility for review and reduction of related back logs and adherence to Divisional Deferral Management Procedure (as in BMS-AA-I-1123).

  • Ensuring by audit that all relevant control & instrumentation overrides and inhibit logs, isolation registers and software are in accordance with operational procedures, safety principles and legal requirements.

  • Monitoring the performance, failures and serviceability of all plant control & instrumentation equipment and systems with appropriate reports on the activities.

  • Completing routine maintenance audits, supporting fault diagnosis, data quality input to maintenance history and providing technical support in the day to day activities including the installation of control & instrumentation equipment to defined standards.

Essential Skills:

  • The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
  • Must be a member of IET or another relevant Institute. 
  • Proven experience in this position, can work to deadlines, communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
