The National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority (NOPSEMA) is Australia’s independent statutory authority and is the expert regulator of health and safety, structural integrity (including well integrity) and environmental management for all offshore energy operations and greenhouse gas storage activities in Commonwealth waters.

The Head of Division - Enabling Services and Business Transformation is a key senior leadership position that reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). It plays a critical role in providing strategic leadership and capacity building through enabling business services and decision making across Finance and Planning, Information Technology and Data, Investigations, Human Resources and Financial Assurance.
The role is a key member of the NOPSEMA Leadership Team which provides strategic and operational advice to the CEO, determines the strategic direction of the agency, drives a positive workplace culture, leads teams and ensures high performance standards. The role also chairs the NOPSEMA Corporate Management Committee.
The key duties of the position include:
To be successful in this role you will be an experienced and dynamic senior executive who is agile and innovative, able to demonstrate high-level communication and stakeholder engagement skills and has a record of influential leadership.
The position incorporates a diverse set of responsibilities including providing strategic and operational leadership for the delivery of NOPSEMA’s objectives. The position also provides leadership in implementing and promoting change and continuous improvement, promotes and maintains productive and collegiate relationships and builds and retains internal and external stakeholder confidence.
In this role you will lead the development and delivery of all corporate services, policies, practices and systems to ensure a high standard of service is provided to the Agency, including preparation for extending NOPSEMA’s regulatory remit to include financial assurance, and compliance with relevant legislative requirements.
Tertiary qualifications relevant to the responsibilities of the role are desirable together with extensive demonstrated strategic leadership in the delivery of corporate services.
To be eligible for this role you must be an Australian Citizen.
The successful applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance to the level ‘Negative Vetting Level 1’.
You will be assessed through NOPSEMA’s pre-employment screening checks including health, character and declaration of conflict of interest.
