ENGIE Solutions Offshore Wind is looking for an Engineering Manager Offshore Wind (Maintenance & Monitoring).

Your mission

  • to be a recognized expert and preferred solution provider for monitoring & maintenance (M&M) services on offshore wind farms (Wind Turbine Generators, infield cables, export cables, offshore/onshore High Voltage Substations)
  • the main responsibilities for you and your team:
    • definition and continuous improvement of monitoring & maintenance strategies and related service programs for offshore substations and wind turbine generators, based on
      • O&M manuals from equipment- & system suppliers (OEM’s)
      • internal and external return of experience
        taking into account the specific offshore conditions and related technical requirements, contractual obligations, a balanced risk/cost assessment and the client requirements and expectations
    • estimation of the related workload, costs and risk provisions, as an expert input and support for Business Development and Tendering activities by the commercial teams
    • guidance and support of the operational M&M teams as a technical expert on complex or recurrent defects and delivery of maintenance contracts. Finding root causes of defects and providing a step-by-step action plan to remedy the situation
    • work in close consultation and coordination together with the Operational Manager Monitoring & Maintenance
    • support new maintenance contracts e.g. setup maintenance programs and spare part management. Development and optimization of the maintenance strategy, processes and technologies while setting up and implementing an operational action plan to increase productivity
    • reinforce “continuous improvement” and support change processes, both in close collaboration with the Operational Manager
    • support the “new-build” project teams on M&M topics, e.g. technical specs, guidance on O&M manuals to be delivered to the end-customers (monitoring & maintenance programs and spare lists), return of experience as input for design and engineering reviews,…
    • assure the return of experience loop and continuous improvement dynamics in the M&M team and towards other relevant departments in Offshore (e.g. engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, quality, sales and tendering,…)
    • connect and take an active and guiding role with an ENGIE internal - and external technical expert network in the field of offshore power generation and related monitoring and maintenance services
    • manage the team of maintenance engineers reliability and work preparators

Your profile

  • you have a master’s degree with at least 5 years of experience in an operational environment and preferably a first experience in offshore wind farms
  • experience in operations, maintenance or technical service of a highly automated industry
  • experience in asset management and maintenance management of WTG’s is mandatory
  • willingness to invest time and effort to become a technical expert leader
  • able to deliver practical and pragmatic solutions resulting from combination of theoretical background, field experiences and applied innovation
  • passionate about technics/mechanical and electrical
  • people manager and good communication skills (verbally and written)
  • flexible, stress-resistant and you have a positive vibe
  • analytical skills
  • ability to adapt
